Currently available crosses, as  individual seedlings:

Cattleya intermedia v. Orlata 'Rock Candy' x self

One of the most beautiful varieties of Cattleya intermedia.  'Rock Candy' is a medium-tall clone which easily puts on a wonderful, long-lasting show of large, waxy flowers each spring.

Cattleya walkeriana v. coerulea 'Cho-Jo' x self

'Cho-Jo' is a very vigorous, easy blooming clone.  Large, multigrowth pieces of this plant bloom heavily each spring and fall with occasional flowers at other times of year as well.  The colour is awesome and the fragrance is intoxicating!  Small divisions of this plant are advertised on the Internet at $250.00.  We offer nice, strong seedlings from a selfing of this plant at a much more affordable price.

Cattleya loddigesii 'Perfect' x Cattleya jenmanii 'Charlie'

Cattleya loddigesii 'Perfect' and Cattleya jenmanii 'Charlie' are two plants with loads of great potential as parents.  Both grow and bloom freely and both have a very delicious fragrance that makes your mouth water!

This cross is going to be exciting to see and smell!

Cattleya walkeriana v. coerulea 'Cho-Jo'

x  Cattleya lawrenceana 'Moti Porat'

This primary hybrid should produce vigorous, compact plants that bear large, fragrant, lavender-mauve flowers freely in the spring and occasionally at other times of year.  These are going to be gorgeous!

Laelia lobata var. alba 'Carlisle's Best' x self

Huge 5" flowers reliably produced in clusters each spring and sometimes, in the fall too!  This is a rare species and the alba form is even more scarce.  A must have for the serious collector who enjoys stunning beauty!

Lc. Mildred Rives 'Orchidglade' FCC/AOS

x Cattleya intermedia v. Orlata 'Rock Candy'

Here, we crossed the huge, "floofy", fragrant, long lasting, semi-alba, heirloom Laeliocattleya Mildred Rives 'Orchidglade' with our huge, waxy, fragrant, Cattleya intermedia var. Orlata 'Rock Candy'.  Both plants grow fast and bloom reliably.  Even though it's been around for decades, the Lc. Mildred Rives 'Orchidglade' is a modern-day award winner; having recently won the coveted FCC/AOS!

Adult Blooming Size Plants

Priced individually

Cattleya skinneri 'Casa Luna' AM/AOS

Only this one specimen plant is available.  This is a clone that originated at Carter & Holmes in the early 90's.  A NBS plant of this sells nowadays for about $60.00......if you can even find one!  The photos above are from April, 2012.  Of course, the plant is larger now.  It blooms each April for over a month and it is  SPECTACULAR!  Flower size, form and colour saturation is of extremely high quality.  It is a very vigorous, tough plant.....even surviving a devastating greenhouse freeze in 2008!  It's a top notch plant that is an easy grower and reliable bloomer.  Save yourself 20 years of waiting....Buy it now for $500.00

(Dog not included!)

 Laelia purpurata 'Carlisle'

I bought this plant in 1989 as a first-bloom seedling for $65.00.  When my eyes landed on it, I couldn't make them look away!  I was smitten.  Now, as you can see, it's a massive multi-lead plant with roots over 5 feet long.  It blooms in April/May reliably each year and is a wonderful way to announce the arrival of spring with it's enormous sprays of 6" - 7" long lasting blooms!  It can be grown on as it is now; or, it can have a root trim and be potted for a more conventional appearance.

The whole plant, including 5 leads, is being offered for $500.00.
